EMIT "CHASE AWAY" BAT Repellent Spray is a ready-to-use aerosol light foamy spray formulation. When sprayed, it generates a jet of wet misty foam that irritates animals’ olfactory sensors. When bats touch, tastes, or smell “CHASE AWAY”, the spicy formulation triggers the natural instinct to escape/avoid. CHASE AWAY” does not harm bats, it drives them away from sprayed areas.
(Test spray at inconspicuous area to check for staining before mass application)

HOW DOES IT WORK
“Chase Away” Bat Repellent Spray is an animal behaviour modification tool and works in 2 ways;
(1) Surfactant (Foam solution) - bats do not like the smell of cleaning agents and will avoid it.
(2) Peppermint, Cinnamon oil - Natural essential oil irritates animals’ olfactory sensors. When bats contact with the sprayed area through their nose, eyes, or paws, it triggers a hot stinging reaction and causes the release of tears and mucus which bats learn not to come into contact with the sprayed area again.
DIRECTION FOR USE
Shake Well Before Use.
Indoor Use - This product is for indoor use, roof eaves, soffits and fascias.
Personal Protection - Ensure you are wearing eye protection before spraying.
Surrounding - Ensure that there are no humans, pets, feeds, foodstuffs, or edible crops within the spray & drift zone. Do not spray near water sources, ponds, drains & water streams.
Distance - Hold the can upright at 20 to 30cm away from the surface.
Application to:
Hard surfaces
Spray target areas (frequent resting place) daily for the first 3 days of treatment. Then spray the target areas once every week cycles until bats avoid the treated area.
Timber purlins, rafters, beams
Observe the usual resting spots of bats and spray the timber purlins, rafters and beams with the spray.
High, hard to reach spots (6m or more)
This product can be fitted with EMIT spray extender pole to reach places higher than 6m.
NOT FOR APPLICATION TO PLANTS!
Do not spray to ornamental plants, fruit or vegetable crops! Formulation contains soap (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) and will disintegrate leaves waxy coating turning them yellow.
During Maintenance, spray twice per month.
Increase spraying after rain or in dusty environment.
FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS
is it safe to use around Children and Pets?
Once dried, children and pets are safe to re-enter the area. (Usually in 2 hours) Some pets will avoid the sprayed area.
How long can the ”Chase Away” repellent effect last?
The repellency effect will last 2 weeks, subject to local weather conditions. Heavy rain & strong sunlight will degrade the repellency effect. Frequent sprays are essential to recharge & maintain an effective barrier.
DISCLAIMER
Product is a tool to excellent tool to chase away unwanted bats residing in your premises. However, it also requires a mininmal level of user confidence and ability for it to work.
Always be prepared! Some anmals are very aggresive and will attack once anyone enters its vincinity.
Do not attempt & engage a Wildlife Control Specialist if you are not confident in dealing with the animals.
EXCLUSION NET OR WIRE GAUZE
Once the bats have leave your premises. It is best to use exclusion nets or wire gauze to seal up the holes to prevent re-entry of bats.
Note:
NOT SUITABLE for polished wood, painted surfaces, leather or arcylic plastics. Test small area of sensitive surfaces for staining before wide scale application.
